As part of the exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd (A80), a solar panel cleaning robot called Solar Clean Pot, developed by LHU drew strong interest from visitors.
LHU has consistently emphasized education integrated with research and technology transfer. Many of its innovations have been successfully applied in practice, serving both societal needs and the business community. The presence of Solar Clean Pot at the A80 Exhibition not only highlights LHU’s pioneering role in innovation but also demonstrates its strong commitment to training high-quality human resources, contributing significantly to national development in the new era.

The Solar Clean Pot is one of LHU's remarkable achievements in innovation. It delivers an average cleaning capacity of 800 panels per hour (0.6 - 0.8 MWp/day) with about 8 working hours/day. The robot can be disassembled into modular components including the battery, brushes, electrical system, and mobility mechanism, with the heaviest part weighing under 20 kg, reassembled within 15 minutes, and controlled by both manual and semi-automatic operation modes.

Developed in 2020 and officially commercialized in early 2021, Solar Clean Pot has so far been adopted by 25 enterprises for rooftop and solar farm panel cleaning. Using this robot helps enhance panel efficiency, reduce labor costs, and ensure operational safety. Additionally, it helps minimize water consumption, extends panel lifespan, and can be applied to various models.
The A80 Exhibition recreates the nation’s glorious historical journey while showcasing major achievements across various fields, including politics, economics, culture, science and technology, national defense and security, and foreign affairs. The event also applies modern technologies such as 3D mapping and virtual reality (VR) to provide a vivid experience, enabling visitors to both revisit the nation’s glorious past and to envision its future development directions.
At the event, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son visited and encouraged the faculty and students of LHU for their creativity.
